Overwhelmed by all things motherhood, taxed by the news cycle (no pun intended), and bummed about an injury right before my “comeback” half marathon, my mind was swirling. Then I caught the gross bug my 2-year-old was fighting all week. All small and mostly inconsequential on their own, but enough together to wear me down. I felt foggy, discouraged, and not quite like myself. I’m guessing you’ve had weeks like this too—when everything collides at once, your work feels heavy, or it takes you away from who you really are. After all, you’re also so much more than the amazing content you create day in and day out. I’ll share what works for me: focusing on the good—on small, grounding moments that bring me back. Like hearing my son, who just started talking, chant his own name on repeat. Or seeing my daughter, who’s usually shy at soccer, race around with a huge smile on her face. Or sneaking in solo time in the garden and literally touching grass, as the kids say. Or choosing date night with my husband over the usual side-by-side scrolling on the couch. I almost forgot, as the viral social trend goes, this is the whole point. What keeps you grounded? We’d love to hear. Just hit reply.
