Search traffic is becoming less predictable, AI-powered experiences are reshaping how people discover information, and many of the platforms you have relied on for years are evolving rapidly. We believe the status quo is not an option. To thrive in the years ahead, you’ll need stronger ways to own audience relationships, build direct connections with consumers, and create value beyond any single traffic source or platform. At the same time, AI is becoming an increasingly important part of how people make decisions, discover products, plan purchases, learn new skills, and navigate everyday life. The systems driving those experiences need something they can’t create themselves: real human expertise, trusted content, and evidence of what actually works. That’s why we’re excited to introduce Raptive Intelligence, a new business unit and a significant expansion of our strategy designed to help creators and publishers thrive in an AI-driven world, while remaining as committed as ever to supporting and growing your core businesses. We’re also excited to welcome John Roa as Raptive’s Chief AI Officer. John is an accomplished entrepreneur, product builder, and AI leader. We also acquired AlchemyAI, the technology platform he developed, which will help power the next generation of Raptive Intelligence. For years, creators and publishers have built extraordinary businesses by earning audience attention through trusted content. But beneath that content are valuable insights into consumer interests, intentions, behaviors, and decision-making. Raptive Intelligence is designed to help transform that collective intelligence into new opportunities in three important ways: • Power your businesses through audience growth and monetization opportunities • Protect your content and rights as AI systems increasingly rely on your expertise • Create new consumer experiences that bring you closer to your audiences and reduce dependence on third-party platforms We’re still in the early stages, and we’ll continue refining our plans with your feedback. What won’t change is our commitment to helping independent creators and publishers build sustainable businesses and ensuring you share in the value they create. Sometimes it’s about improving what’s already there. This guide walks you through a practical framework for reviewing low-performing content, identifying posts worth refreshing, and making smart decisions about what to keep, improve, or remove so your site stays focused, useful, and easier for readers to navigate. Clean up your content library → Quick tip When SEO feels uncertain, start with your audience “Don’t write for search engines, write for people—specifically, for your audience. First, take a step back and look at your site objectively. Make sure nothing is technically wrong, then look at your content and ask yourself: Is it competitive? Are you aligned with the latest best practices? Are you authoritative? What can you do to be more authoritative?” Vanessa Barokas Director of SEO Services Don’t miss New AI visibility reporting is coming to Google Search Console Google is beginning to roll out a new Generative AI report in Search Console, including visibility from AI Overviews, AI Mode, and AI features in Discover. What you’ll see The report currently shows impressions only, not clicks, rankings, or CTR. Access is limited for now, so you may not see it in your account yet. Why it matters Even with those limitations, this is a meaningful step toward understanding which pages may appear in AI-generated results. How to use it Once the report is available, compare the pages earning AI impressions with the pages already performing well in traditional search. Look for patterns in what’s showing up: Are certain content types appearing more often? Do the strongest pages include original photography, personal experience, hands-on testing, or unique expertise? Learn more → Google Search profiles give creators and publishers a new way to show up in search Google is rolling out Search profiles and making it easier for readers to discover and follow creators and publishers directly from search results. These shareable profiles can include your latest articles, videos, social posts, website, bio, and social channels, giving audiences a snapshot of who you are and where to find your work. People can also follow you from your profile, giving Google another way to connect interested readers with your content across its ecosystem. Nick DiGiovanni Search profiles are launching first in the U. S. and are currently available to creators and publishers who meet Google’s minimum audience requirements on at least one major platform: • 100K subscribers on YouTube • 100K followers on Instagram or X • 300K followers on TikTok This is another signal that Google is continuing to connect Search, Discover, and creator identity, making a complete, accurate presence across your site and social channels even more important.
